Go Vote

I was going to write an inspiring historical review of the 19th amendment and our foremothers' valient strides to win the right to vote.

And I was going to try to make it as interesting, insightful and fun as a history lesson could be.

But I have a cold.  (More on that later.)  Which means that my head is going to explode, my nose is raw and my eyes are burning.  It also means that I'm fresh out of "interesting", "insightful" and, most especially, "fun".

But having The Cold From Hell is not going to stop me from going to my polling place today and voting.  It's not going to stop me from filling in a few bubbles, getting a sticker and making sure that I exercise a right that women didn't have 91 years ago.  (And, yes, I'll bring hand sanitizer.)

I'll make my message short and sweet.

Go.

Vote.

Today.

Because you sure as shootin' won't be able to do so tomorrow.

That is all.  Now excuse me whilst I blow my nose.

Sorry to hear about your cold. It's the worst being sick and having to be a "mom" at the same time. I just want MY mom when I'm sick, not to BE a mom. Anyway, I'm going to vote today. Not because it's fun, but because I'm old now and have a vested interest in my community and the economy.

So funny. I LOVE voting and the whole electoral process. Except the ads. Those suck. But everything else...totally fun.
