Ode to Internet

They say it was a crazy time.
A time when all I did was rhyme.
While I sat and waited for the man to see me.

They promised me the internet,
Everyday I prayed and I bet
While I sat and waited for the man to see me.

And then one day, before my eyes
He came and set up my wi fi
While I sat and watched the man who came to see me.

And now I type and tweet and blog,
While I sift and sort through the fog
And thank the man who came to see me.

Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.

You missed me, didn't ya?

Also...bonus points to whomever can identify the inspiration for this bad poetry.

I don't read that much poetry... I know it's not Shel Silverstein... ha!

I could describe this poem in ridiculously geeky poetry terms, and have, to try to coax Google into reminding me what poem it makes me think of, but alas it isn't working.

I feel like it's at the tip of my brain but I can't figure it out.

Only my favorite Leonard Cohen song. If you could get John Cale to vlog this for you, or kd lang? That would totally seal the deal.

Welcome back!
