- Lounge on my bed and read either one good book or two mediocre books.
- Lounge in a hammock and while away the hours reading to the kids.
- Take the kids berry picking until their lips and fingers are stained.
- Travel up the coast and stay in an out-of-the-way B&B.
- Tear up my carpets and install hardwood floors.
- Go house hunting for perfect four bedroom, three bath farmhouse on an acre but only a bike ride away from town.*
- Go wine tasting.
- Work in my garden.
- Go grocery shopping.
- Clean the bathtubs and toilets.
- Mop the floors.
- Pay bills.
- Clean kitchen.
- Dust. Everywhere.
- Get the kids down for a nap - despite their protests.
Better get to it.
*Would necessitate a lottery win.

want and need. hmmm....I say the most important thing is whatever gives you time with the family. I have a theory that they are only young and want you around for so long so eat the kids attention up while they allow it.
I spend most days having fun with the kids. And then, when it takes a snow shovel to clean, I pout about not being able to have even MORE fun. lol
Now...if only I could afford a housekeeper. Or a maid service. Or some random high school kid who wants to make a few dollars.
