We're still undecided on what to name the poor little girl currently causing severe heartburn and lack of sleep. (She must be preparing me for her teen years.)
I did another poll, with a couple of the old favorites and a couple new ones. This time I also found an option that allows people to vote more than once. (Obviously I just love the whole poll idea.)
A little about Gertrude*...
She has chubby cheeks and the tendency to kick really hard right when I get comfortable. She's not a morning person, usually staying quiet until early afternoon. At night, well...that's party time. She's constantly rolling and kicking and moving.
She loves to hear Joseph's voice. She instantly starts moving when he leans close and says, in his oh-so-loud voice, "HELLO BABY!"
We think she'll either have brown or blue eyes and brown or red hair. (Vague, aren't we.)
She's going to be a Leo...unless she comes early in which case she'll be a Cancer. If she takes after her aunties, she'll have curly hair as a little girl that will straighten as she gets older. If she takes after her Daddy, she'll be tall and lean. (Poor thing will be short and round if she takes after her mother.)
Sooo...what do you think?

I seriously like them all. Even Gertrude. I think Eleanor is going to get the most votes. Eleanor is also a super popular name right now, so she'll definitely have to be okay with sharing.

That's the problem. We run the very real risk of having a trendy name if we go with Eleanor. Sure...it wasn't in the top 20 last year, but what about this year? *sigh* This is tough. lol
Fabulous names! Eleanor hinges on a few things - if you plan to call her Ellie, then yup, she'll feel VERY popular indeed.
But Alice could also be big - remember, she's a character in the Twilight series.
I kind of love Penelope - and voted for her. But Gertrude is cool, too - Trudy is a neat nickname and would sound just right with Sadie and Daisy.
I just knew Maeve would have a "following".... How about Maeve Aleece Dawson (her initials would be "MAD" or "MD") How cool is that?
My girl's initials are ACE (Allison Christine Enyart) and SLE (pronounced SLEEEE - long e - Stephanie Lynne Enyart).
The Aleece would be a derivative of Alice - pronounced AL-EE (long e)-CUH
Love the MB Camping post.
