I wasn't going to post about this, but it seems like there really hasn't been anything new in this pregnancy except the sheer lack of symptoms. Poor Monkey. Joseph will have a journal crammed full of entries about my feelings, hopes and fears and this one will have two or three pages of, "still feel great...wondering what to plant in the garden." So...in an effort to be sure that s/he will have SOMEthing juicy...
The last month or so, I've noticed that I get very woozy - usually around 9:30 or 10:00 in the morning. I feel slightly drunk - light headed, dizzy, clammy. (You might remember me mentioning it while we were visiting my parents.) I kept thinking it was a low blood sugar thing and would grab a snack. It never really seemed to help, but I usually felt much better after an hour or so.
Then last week, Chad and I went grocery shopping while Joseph was at Boppa and G's. We walked into the store and I started to get that woozy feeling again. Except this time it was accompanied by fading black around the edges of my vision. I went outside and sat on a curb with my head between my knees.
Side note: This is only slightly less embarrassing than throwing up in public. Slightly.
When I felt better, Chad and I got in the car to go home. On the way, Chad insisted we stop at Rite Aid and check my blood pressure. 89/45
We immediately phoned the on-call doctor, who sounded like he was playing golf while talking. (Very distracted.) He didn't seem to think it was a problem that I had the blood pressure of a corpse. He told me it was very common (which was confirmed by my regular doctor at my last appointment) and to avoid driving if I felt dizzy. (Hm.)
It's all so very Victorian. Imagine, the back of my hand to my forehead, "I do declare I feel faint!" (Wait. That's too Southern.) "I must say...I feel rather faint." (Better. More Victorian by far.) Followed, of course, by a graceful swoon to a convenient fainting couch.
Reality of course would be me stumbling into a pyramid of glasses at Target.

I passed out twice when I was pregnant with Hannah. Both times at work.. during the timeframe you noted. Not fun! Hope the dizzy spells pass soon!!
