Interesting Development

That's right, dear readers. Mandyland will be adding to it's population. I took these tests the week before Thanksgiving. (I should get bonus points for keeping my mouth and fingers quiet for so long.) I'll either be 10 or 12 weeks on Wednesday and, since the cat's out of the bag in the rest of my life (especially since I'm already in maternity clothes - sad, I know), I thought I'd share.

Side note: For some inexplicable reason I thought I'd sail well into my second trimester without needing to pull out the elastic waistbands. I don't know why I had this delusion. I was in maternity clothes by 12 weeks with Joseph and I know it happens quicker with the second. (Although my theory is that once we women realize how comfy maternity jeans are, we're more than happy to pull them on.)

On the plus side (ha! pun intended) that means that you all get to share in the overabundance of hormones. You lucky readers, you.

On the down side, that means you'll soon be covering your eyes and wishing for the days when all I'd post about is gardening and a new crock pot recipe instead of every ache, pain, weight gain and OMG! look at these adorable sonogram pictures!! You can totally see the baby. She has her daddy's eyes. (If you can see it, you're either in the baby biz or you've had a dozen of your own.)

Side note: We're pretty sure it's going to be a girl. You see...the cosmos have a great sense of humor when it comes to my life. When I was pregnant with Joseph, all I wanted was a little girl. So I got a boy. Now that I really, really want a little boy, I'll get a girl.

So! We're having a baby...let the cuteness begin!

Congrats!!! I love pregnancy stories! I can't wait to hear your comedic twist (or brutal honestly, however you put it) of the ride.
