Hmmm..."Team Mandyland"...does that sound a bit too...girly?
I have 15 hours to go before The Draft and I still have no idea who I'm going to...ummm...draft. A few things I have learned since my post yesterday.
1. This is important...apparently there are eleven players on a football field not nine. My bad.
2. Jason Taylor's defense team allegedly sucks. My inside reports all point towards "back slowly away from the Redskins". But he's just so darn cute! And he helps children! This is going to be a very difficult decision.
3. Players with odd names are often good picks. (Thanks for the tip, Amanda!)
4. Brothers are also good picks.
5. For all his phone calls, charts and mock drafts, my hubby doesn't seem in the least bit interested in helping his wife with her first ever Fantasy Football Draft. In fact, as I write this, he is either asleep or pretending to be as I yell out, "Wait! What positions are on the offense?!" I'm thinking this could have something to do with our standing side bet and the fact that if anyone is more competitive than me, it's Chad.
6. There are way too many numbers in football. Not to sound, like, blond and stuff, but umm...I hate all things numerical and it seems as though the only way to make an educated decision is to study long lists of indecipherable stats. Seriously. What the hell does all that gibberish mean?? I would ask for help, but see Number 5.
I think I'll just concentrate on what I do well - preparing refreshments for tomorrow's event. Chad insists that everyone would be happy with chips and salsa, but I insist that if I'm going to participate there will be coordinating plates and napkins as well as ample snacks and beverages.
