The Draft

At 12:30, people began to arrive. At 1:30, the pizza showed up. At 2:00, I was over the whole draft thing, but still had ten more rounds to go.

My drafting strategy combined oddest names with top picks as listed by CBS. Chad was incredibly frustrated with my first round pick of McGahee. He was injured, but at the same time, he was only expected to maybe be out the first week. I pointed out that he was ranked fairly high and Chad pointed out that there was still one player higher than him. I argued that player had been skipped by all the more skilled drafters in the room, so I was going with McGahee. And thus the rest of the draft progressed.

My team (at the moment because as I understand I can fire any of them) stands as follows:

Quarterbacks - Peyton Manning & Brett Favre
Running Backs - Kevin Smith, Darren McFadden, Edgerrin James, Willis McGahee, Chester Taylor
Wide Receivers - Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton, Torry Holt, Hines Ward
Tight Ends (lol) - Antonio Gates, Benny Watson
Defense - Seahawks and Titans (I caved to the pressure of a Jason Taylor-less defense)
Kicker - Phil Dawson (keeping it in the family)
