We were on track to leave by noon. At a quarter til, we got a phone call from The Salsberrys. Jeff had pink eye. *Screeching brakes* When Danielle hung up, I told her that I wasn't comfortable with risking Joseph (or us!) with getting this highly contagious infection. She called Adam, I spoke to Chad. Chad confirmed my decision. Adam agreed that it wasn't a good idea with a baby and toddler. Danielle called The Salsberrys back and told them we weren't going to be joining them. They were disappointed. We were disappointed.
We re-grouped and made new plans. Chad and I decided that we'd just stay until Saturday morning. Danielle and I decided to go back to her new favorite store. Adam and Chad looked into seeing "Wanted". I started my potato salad and broccoli slaw.
Quick side note: I made the most kick ass potato salad in the history of potato salad. Usually I try to work out fancy schmancy variations or use my mom's recipe. It's usually pretty good, but I really wanted something simple this time. I followed the Best Food's recipe and just added bacon bits and a couple more eggs. AH-MAZE-ING. Simple, yummy, easy to make...this is going to be my new potato salad standard.
Chad took a bike ride around the neighborhood and found a house for sale that intrigued him. Adam called the agent and, in a flash back to our past, we all went to check out the house. (Back when Adam and Danielle lived in Paso we used to go check out houses together.) It was a pretty cool place. The landscaping was amazing. Very zen.

I am sorry, nothing beats my potato salad, mine is an orignal not off any recipe. But you are forgiven. LOL
There's nothing like a healthy sense of modesty, is there Mom? :) And I hate to say it, but it may come down to a potato salad cook-off to solve the question once and for all. And no bribing the judges!
