As I was getting ready for work this morning, I overheard a conversation that had me holding back giggles...
"Elizabeth, you're very pretty."
"Thank you, Joe."
"But you're kind of bossy."
"No I'm not!"
"You are. But that's okay."
"That's crazy, Joe."
"I know. Want to help me build a drone?"
"Okay!"
I love eavesdropping on their conversations. They're so adult, yet so sweetly innocent. They talk about everything from school to cartoons to toys to Justin Beiber. I kid you not.
For the record Joseph doesn't really like the Beib and Elizabeth says he's not her favorite. Her favorite in the whole wide world is the rainbow song.
Is it any wonder I'm so often late for work? I can't help but stop and listen.

Happy sighs at those kids of yours.
Love kidlet conversations! And too funny that they go from their adult like convo to building a drone....with Lego? ;> May they always play so sweetly. :>
I love when I catch my kiddos talking to each other too...I just love sneaking a peek into those little minds of theirs.
Loved this.
How awesome that you get to listen in on the dialogue between your kids. Kind of makes me wish I had more than one.
Don't they just save your life??
I love the conversations, but thought I'd share that my 6 year old calls him Justin Beaver. And he's heard that Beaver Fever makes you really sick.
That is too cute. And oddly true. ;)
Every day.
It's amazing to hear their odd adult/child conversations. They go from "grown up" to drones in three seconds.
I spend so much time just listening to them and wishing I could record every word.
Always with Legos. Always.
I feel the same way. When they're not making me tear out my hair. :)
