But I really haven't done this sort of thing before.
If you're looking for a woman who wears high heels and dresses, we probably won't match. I'm a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal. If I had to describe my ideal date, it would involve a horseback ride, a picnic, a discussion about books and maybe a little fishing. There's nothing in this world that can't be solved by a day sitting on the banks of a river, book in hand, line in the water.
I've never been in love and I'm not looking for true love. To be honest, I'm not certain it exists. I'm looking for friends. And by "friends" I don't mean sex. So get that thought out of your head right now.
Unless you're really hot.
I'm not silly and I'm not dumb. I'm taking a break before pursuing my PhD in child psychology. I have a great job with flexible hours and an amazing working environment.
In other words, if you want to go on that horseback ride, let me know. I can see a man about a horse. Or two.
This post was inspired by the Write on Edge prompt: Write a personal ad for one of your characters. Can you guess who this ad is for? I'll give you a clue: She's part of Hidden Hollow. Did it give you a little hint into her personality?Makes me think someone needs to answer that ad....
Can Hidden Hollow handle another character?

I can see a man about a horse or two....that was cute, made me LOL
And after reading this my immediate thought was "Sitting on the dock of the bay, wasting time" and there is no better way to pass a day!
I certainly hope so...I love Hidden Hollow and all the people who live there. She sounds cool, grounded, sure of herself, is she the new nanny? I hope so , I can't wait to see where she takes us and what she shows us. Yea!
Oh you and your mad characterization skills! Love this- the words, the sweetness and, of course, the teaser into your story line!
A man about a horse. Or two.
Swoon.
I think the line about fishing with a book is such a perfect snapshot of this woman.
Oooh I love how the world of Hidden Hollow is possibly expanding!
You know what's funny? This doesn't sound like you at all. I don't me You you, but rather the you, writing Hidden Hollow. But, then I thought, it shouldn't. When you're writing Hidden Hollow, you're relaying the story in your wonderful written, witty way. But, here, we hear Her writing and she sounds like her own gal, separate from your writing style. Does that make sense? I love that I just fell even further into one of your characters. :>
Kristi, right? The nanny?
You know I love it.
I love this: And by "friends" I don't mean sex...Unless you are hot. This character is so much fun and interesting and not at all predictable. What a great job making her so tangible.
Hmm... I'd love to see a response to this ad!
My guess is that she'll find love in a totally unexpected way too!
A man about a horse. Or two. Also? Hot definitely changes everything. ;)
I want to date her..or be friends with her. Great ad.
