Summer is here again...

Today is officially the start of my summer vacation.

This summer is a turning point in my life. I can feel it. It's the summer I write a book. It's the summer I find my footing. It's the summer I shape up. It's the summer I get organized. It's the summer I learn to be single again.

It's a time of metamorphosis.

Which is more terrifying than I can say.

I've never been someone who is comfortable with change.

I've always been someone who feels best when secure.

This summer will be a lot of things but "secure" and "comfortable" will most likely not be in the picture.

So, I'll do what I do. I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other and...

I'll learn to make sushi for Joseph.

I'll visit friends

I'll write. A lot.

I'll do something adventurous.

I'll change. Just a little. Just enough to be more secure and comfortable with the new.

Now...a few little bits of fun news...

Today, over at The Red Dress Club, I describe my writing space. Go check it out. Mostly because the lovely ladies who run the site are allowing me to help out this week. Don't worry! I have a partner in crime. She's awesome.

Also, don't forget to enter the giveaway for a beautiful rose necklace.

And later today, I'll be opening up another (yes, another) giveaway. Just for fun.

After you learn about making sushi, can you teach me? I'd be a grateful student!

You should totally teach the rest of us to make sushi!!!
I hope this summer brings you everything you want from it.  I truly do.

Comfort/security are totally overrated. Sounds like Depends or something.

And you? Are way too young and adorable for those!

Good for you! I always make grandiose summer plans, but with a little stick-to-it-iveness, it can really come true!!

And our crimes are so evil! (Not really, but we can pretend.)

Hey there, Mandy! I went to RDC, read & enjoyed your post, but I'm having major challenges getting it to accept my comment. After a dozen attempts, I give in.  Let me say that I can relate as I type this on my laptop, on my lap, on the couch, with my Princess now curled up next to me, listening to the music I had in my ear & with the headphones now pulled, she's tapping her foot to. :>

And....what you can do with your inner writing space is simply wonderful! :>
