I took the kids to the beach over Memorial Day weekend. While there we met a delightful little guy named Jackson. He taught Joseph to catch sand crabs, informed us of their dietary needs and filled a bucket with water, sand, crabs and clams for Elizabeth to look at.
He told us he was four years old.
He was a total kick in the pants.
When we came home, Joseph said, "I had so much fun meeting this new Jackson."
"He was great, wasn't he?"
"I'm glad I unlocked a new friend during free play."
Umm....
Yeah. It's time to put a hold on the Lego video games.

LOL - unlocked a new fiend:)
oh, sigh...
but pretty freaking adorable!
HAHAHA! Thats hilarious!
That is SO something my kids would say. If they're outside playing tag or hide and seek, they'll yell, "Pause game!" if they need to go use the bathroom.
Bwahahaha! I'd like to unlock some new friends. Maybe Joseph can teach me how?
Yeah, I definitely need skills unlocking friends. I must not have the right cheat codes.
Haha! Kids are so funny. And surprising.
HEE! That's hysterical!
Oh boy. Yes, in similar fashion, my daughter thinks everything has a touch screen like MY iPad. No, Maddy, scrolling your fingers across the TV will not change the channel.
But your Joseph, WAY TOO CUTE.
LOL! I've heard a comment or two (maybe even three or four or more...shhhh...) like that around these parts! Thanks for sharing the cuteness and how Joseph 'leveled up'! :>
Totally cracked me up. lol
OMG! How awesome would it be to scroll through the TV?!?
At least he didn't try to use the Force or something. *sigh*
And that line between fiction and reality is so blurred!
Did you do a google search? If you go to www.unlockfriendscheatcodessoIdontfeelsoawkward.com, you might be able to find something.
I hope he teaches me first!
HAHAHAH! That's awesome. Do they freeze to pause the game?
I know, right?
Makes me seriously think he's playing too many video games. Bummer. :)
Seriously. I nearly choked laughing.
