I've Got a Headache

It's Day Three of The Headache.

I've never been someone who gets migraines. And I don't believe this is one. It's just a rude, lingering headache.

Or a brain aneurysm.

Because that's the first thing that pops in my mind.

Then again, I was convinced that I had calcium bicarbonate poisoning while I was pregnant with Joseph. Why? Well, late one night, while staring at my ever-present bottle of Tums, I happened to notice the warning label. I realized I'd been taking triple the maximum recommended daily dose. Frantically, I searched the web to see if I was exhibiting any symptoms.

There is an unsatisfyingly small amount of information regarding calcium bicarbonate poisoning on the internet.

So I call my doctor. At midnight. Panicked.

She sighed, told me that it was highly unlikely and then put me on the "Crazy Patient List".

You know they have one.

So it just makes sense that when I have a headache that has lasted most of three days and is immune to ibuprofen, I start to worry I have an aneurysm.

It can't be because I hit my head on Sarah's chicken coop while watering her hens last Sunday. And there's no way it's because I hit it hard enough to make me dizzy and throw up. Because that would just be too...obvious.

Now, excuse me. I have a little googling to do.

Dr. Google is like Satan. He plants terrible ideas into your head! Don't listen! Don't give in!

I wonder about that, too, when I get a bad headache.

But from what I understand (and from what I've observed first-hand), aneurysms act much more quickly. I think you're okay. Just in pain which SUCKS (been there, suffered that)!!! Maybe the ibuprofen is just not making a dent because you're used to it? Have you tried excedrin migraine? Usually does the trick for me!

Or, go on youtube and look up demonstrations of accupressure for headaches/migraines. Sometimes that helps me too!

I'm on the crazy patient list. It's written every so nicely in my chart, "nervous patient."
Swear.
Also, I believe if you had an aneurysm it would be the LAST thing to POP in your mind.
Get it?
Hardy har har! ;)

You probably have a concussion. You may actually want to call the dr. on that one!

Oh my gosh! That is so weird because I am on day three of a headache too and I don't usually get them. Ibuprofen is doing nothing as well for me. I swear it has been making me feel sick to my stomach and dizzy at times. I thought maybe I was getting sick but maybe there is something going on in the atmosphere that is affecting us??? It has been horrible trying to work with this nagging pain. So I know exactly what you are going through.

Hope you feel better soon - headaches suck! The only thing that works for me is Excedrin - the migraine one works pretty good too. I actually have a prescription for Imitrex but I try not to take it if I don't have to (since Excedrin is OTC I don't have to get it refilled when I run out.)

This had me laughing (with you) so hard that now I'd better google what possible harm laughing so hard can do!

This cracks me up-because I am the exact. same. way.

LOL Google is awful! It's like "What to Expect When You're Expecting" on steroids.

I just sent Chad to the store for some.

Then maybe it's atmospheric or barometric? Radiation?

It's too late now, isn't it? Four days after the bang?

Bwahahahhahahahahah!

Thank you. I sent Chad to the store and will be googling youtube videos. :)

LOL - That's like awesome. The perfect analogy.
