Chad and I are on our way to San Diego. That's right. We're going alone. Without kids. Cue mild panic. Okay. Fine. You caught me. Cue total panic.
This will be the first time we've left Elizabeth overnight and we're going to be six hours away for three days. While I'm sure she'll be fine with Maxine and her friend Carol, I'm still having a wee bit of anxiety at the thought of being away from my baby.
Of course, we're not worried about Joseph. Joseph has already negotiated a later bedtime, homemade peanut butter cookies, a new Lego set and will probably be the one running the house in an orderly fashion before we're twenty miles down the road.
Besides having some much-needed time away together, I'll also be doing something so fantastically exciting, I'm practically bouncing.
In less than 24 hours, I will be surrounded by fellow bloggers and learning, learning, learning.
I'm going to Bloggy Boot Camp.
(I'm told that sit-ups and push-ups are not involved.)
In the meantime, check out some of the amazing Red Dress Club posts. These ladies (and a few gents) are fantastic writers. And keep your fingers crossed that Elizabeth doesn't have a total meltdown, my mom survives and Joseph doesn't plot - and enact - world domination.
Have a great weekend!

Hope you have a wonderfully fun and productive time!
Come back and teach us everything you've learned.
And enjoy the grown-up time ::winkwink::
wow, have a fabulous time! How will your hubby cope with being round lots of bloggers???
That's so much fun! You'll have a great time! Don't panic. Kids are so resilient!! Id' be more worried about the babysitters! lol
The babysitters have already texted me to ask about wine. Hmmm...
Have to say, though, once we got here, got checked in, took a walk and ate dinner, I was relaxed. Especially since I didn't have to child proof the room! lol
Run? RUN?! I may need to rethink the ballet flats and jeans...
Run? RUN?! I may need to re-think the ballet shoes and jeans. ;)
My hubby will be ensconced in front of a TV with his lap top and bracket watching March Madness. lol
You mean time in a hotel without having to do lights out and silence at 7:30?! lol
Thank you!! (I do too.)
OOoooo....a weekend away! I really can't say which would be more exciting, a weekend away with Hubs (it's been two or three years now...I have to think about that one!) or going to a BBC and meeting so many great blogging women! And good for you for not having to make that choice and combining them. :> And I must admit, I'm picturing your Joseph's plotting for world domination now....
It was so great meeting you at BloggyBootCamp! You are so nice, I wish we had a chance to chat more :)
It was great to meet you too! I felt like the day went by too fast. I didn't get as much time to chat with everyone as I'd like. Then again, that might have taken a couple days. :)
He tried. Fortunately my mom was on to his tricks and schemes.
It was a great experience. I really can't say enough positive things about it.
