Pre-K

Someone who is an adorable four-year-old with bright red hair and wearing a fake smile started Pre-K today.  It was a preview of next year.  A tiny look at packing his own lunch, meeting new teachers and introducing himself to new friends.

"Hi guy!  I'm Joseph."

Things that we learned today:

1.  No matter how big that green lunch box looked, a sandwich, sliced orange, crackers, two juice boxes and a fruit roll up were not enough food for Joseph.

2.  Even when I want him to wear his snazzy new polo shirt and shorts, it's just easier to let him wear what he wants and what he's comfortable in.

3.  Saying "thank you" is always appreciated.  Especially when it's Joseph walking up to his teacher as he and Chad were leaving, saying, "You have a great school!  You're a good teacher. I had a lot of fun today.  Thank you."

4.  Four is not too young to respond "nothing" to that time honored question, "What did you do at school today?"

5.  Joseph's growing up too fast.
