My sisters will be so proud.
My in-laws recently took Joseph shoe shopping. When the three of them made their way back to the house, the first words out of my mother-in-law's mouth were, "It's easier to shop with a teenager than with your son."
"Did you find any shoes?"
"We found a great pair, but Joseph told us that they weren't his color."
Ahhh...so now she feels my pain.
"This shirt is too itchy."
"These shorts are too black."
"I don't like that dinosaur on my shirt; it scares me."
"Not those shoes, Mommy. They're for babies."
I guess all those mothers who warned me about the onset of "opinions" were right. At a certain point, it's not worth the warfare to force your child to look "cute". If his pants are backwards, his shoes worn down, his shirts loose, his socks mismatched, his hair crazy...well...at least he's clothed.
And I can always say that his dad dressed him.

love this!
one of my daughter's used to get upset if her sock had a wrinkle in it; and she also had to have the sock stitch line perfectly straight at the top of her toes!!
good news! she is a tidy, organized, list maker!!! as you might expect - she is the kindergarten teacher!
before you worry - she is also great at "relaxing" and living in the moment!
