To Do vs. Did

Today was the first "official" day of my summer break.  Sure I had Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, but that's my normal weekend.

Don't hate me.

I had a whole list of things to do:
  • Take the kids to Story Hour at the library and start Joseph on his summer reading program.
  • Make homemade butternut squash ravioli for dinner.
  • Deep clean either Elizabeth or Joseph's room.
  • Put away laundry.
  • Put together bookshelf that I bought two weeks ago and is still sitting in it's box collecting dust because, as we all know, Chad's not exactly a handyman.
I didn't accomplish a single thing on my list.  Joseph didn't even get dressed.  He channeled his inner bachelor and lounged in his boxer briefs all day.  Elizabeth wore a onesie and I, at least, put on a bra and shorts with my pajama top.  The highlight of the day was making popcorn and watching Ice Age with Joseph.

And the reason for all the laziness?

Miss E is thisclose to popping out her two front teeth and the only thing that seemed to help her get through the pain was nursing.  All. Day. Long.

Maybe we'll get dressed tomorrow.

Maybe we'll even leave the house.

Stranger things have happened.
