California Poppy Giveaway

Guess who learned how to make a new craft project?

As much as I love this necklace, orange is really not my color.  That means that one lucky reader is going to get to take it off my hands.

Made of a clear glass pebble and a copy of a vintage California map illustration, this little number will look fantastic with everything from a swimsuit to a cute summer dress.

Now...how can we make this more fun?

I've got it!

To enter, leave a comment telling me what your state flower is.

Very beautiful Mandy, and it is my state flower!! I remember as a child being horrified that I'd get arrested if I picked the state flower, LOL!

The poppy is my state flower. Lately, I've been telling Josh about the poppy. Now everytime he sees it, he says, "Look mommy, it's the flower you can't pick!"

I love the these poppies and think it is a shame we can't pick them. Very beautiful. You know I am not from a state but my official flower is the Alberta Wild Rose.

Hey, Mandy, I love the necklace and yes, the poppy is probably my favorite wild flower and my state flower! What a cool thing for you to do!!! It says all things summer to me. Scott tried to grow some for me and he has a green thumb for everything but what grows wild by the road for some reason wouldn't grow for him in a pot!!! What's with that??? :D

In Canada we have provinces instead of states. My province is Alberta and our provincial flower is the wild rose.

The California Poppy is my state flower. We've written a (currenly incomplete) song about it called "Don't Pick A Poppy"!

The California Poppy is my state flower! At least the one I claim. I currently live in Utah and should probably start claiming it, but I'm a California girl born and bred, so I have a hard time saying I'm "from" anywhere else. Also, I LOVE this cute necklace!

I'm a new New Yorker, and I am happy to learn that the New York state flower is the rose, in all it's variations and colors.

I am excited that we have such a beautiful flower, but a bit perturbed that New Yorkers couldn't get it together and be a mite less vague...

Cheers! :)
