Whirlwind

We've had a whirlwind of visiting family.

First, Nicole brought the kids down for spring break.  Joseph had a blast with his cousins.  A belated Easter Egg Hunt, a trip to the zoo, a picnic in the park.  Then...

Melissa drove up from LA.  She and Joseph spent the day together.  They started off with coffee, then went to see How to Train Your Dragon, ending up back at the house where the sipped ice coffees while sunning themselves.

Side note:  Joseph's coffee is mostly milk, but he feels like such a big boy when he and Aunt Melissa have their morning coffees.

Side, side note:  I didn't ask if she put sunblock on my little red head.  Aunts are for irresponsible fun.  Moms are for SPF70.

I asked Melissa what they did all day.  She shared one of their conversations:

"Is Nana old?"

"No.  She's mature."

"Oh."

"Are you mature, Joe?"

"No," Joseph laughed.  "I'm a boy."

"Oh, Joe!  You don't know how wise you are!"

Melissa left Thursday night, just after Mom arrived for her visit.  Mom stayed until Sunday.  We spent Friday with Rachel and Benny at Avila Barn, eating lunch, eating ice cream, looking at the animals.  Saturday we had a garage sale and then Sunday we woke up bright and early to head to LA and Disneyland.

A whirlwind and a wonderful one at that!

well - on second thought, maybe I was that way at your age too?
