Joseph's first trip to Disneyland resulted in a Buzz Lightyear toy. His second, a bucket of aliens. This time, he was in full "I want" mode.
Side note: Made smarter by experience, we've decided to just give him cash next time and let him decide how to spend it.
After two days of gift shops that cleverly market to kids, we finally told Joseph that he'd gotten all the souveniers that he was going to get. We encouraged him to "take mental pictures" for next time.
A half hour later, as we were disembarking from the Toy Story ride (which exits into a toy store, of course), Joseph turned to me and said, "I have a great idea!"
"What's that?"
"We should get a present for Boppa and G!"
"Oh really?"
"Oh really?"
"Yeah! Boppa really wants a Buzz Lightyear Shooter toy."
"He does! Boppa! Boppa! I want to buy you a present. You want the shooter toy, right?" Joseph ran up a display case. "I think you'd really like this toy, Boppa."
More importantly, how could Boppa say no to that?
He's not even four yet. What are we going to do when he's a teenager?
