I'm just finishing up some pictures for my New Year's post, but I must post about going to see Ellen.
It was so. Much. Fun.
We drove down bright and early Friday morning. A little too early. We ended up waiting in the holding area for four hours, but we were so excited, we hardly noticed the time. We watched an episode of The Bachelor - sorry...no details. I'm sworn to secrecy. Then, we were marched, in single-file line, across the street and into the famous Riff Raff room.
Seeing the set was a bit surreal. It's so much smaller in person. We were seated five rows back, directly behind Tony. (Watch the show on Monday, January 18th to see me shaking my groove thing. I'll be the one with the sweaty, red face and huge boobs.)
They started off with a cheerleader - okay...he wasn't technically a cheerleader, but he ran around the studio getting everyone pumped up, so take that as you will - leading us into a dancing, shouting frenzy. By the time Ellen took the stage, we were on a roll.
Keith Urban and Jake from The Bachelor were guests along with a cute brother duo who sang and some odd band called LMFAO. Of course, our freebie was their CD. Not Keith. LMFAO.
We finished, bought over-priced but necessary souvenirs and headed home. Happy and excited.
It truly was a blast.
I want to go again.
