Sellin' Out...

Ooooh...now that was annoying. I just finished a little post and, when I went to spell check to maintain my reputation as a premier speller, Blogger deleted everything except the title. Seriously annoying.

Now...what was I writing about?

Oh yes. I've sold out.

A friend told me about AdSense and suggested I sign up. She does it to make a little Mad Money every month and said it was painless and free. Since anything that starts with "painless" and ends with "free" and includes the term "Mad Money" sounds like a good idea to me, I decided to give it a try.

Basically I'm allowing Goggle to search my entries for keywords and then place a corresponding ad in my sidebar. Whenever anyone clicks on said ad, I get a teeny, tiny stipend. (Mom...feel free to click away. Consider it your contribution to Joseph and Gertrude's* college funds.)

I bet you're thinking what I was thinking. Why don't I just sit around on the computer every night and click away? Well, the people at Google are smarter than that. Apparently I can't click to increase my revenue.

Side note: How much do you want to bet that was an added policy after Google started noticing huge checks to some of the original bloggers?

I'll give the whole AdSense thing a try for the next couple of months. If I make $.10, I'll just delete the option.

Side note: Whatever happened to the "cent" key?? Travesty!

On a totally unrelated note, I'm up to five tomatoes and two zucchini harvested. The deluge begins with a trickle.
