Fair Photo Entries...

'Tis the season! That's right...the California Mid State Fair is just around the corner. The deadline for submissions is this weekend. Per usual, I've only been able to get to a tiny portion of what I want to enter. I'm frantically trying to finish up a purse (pictures will follow if I ever actually get it done). I didn't get nearly as many jams done as I'd hoped. I blame pregnancy for that one. I did, however get my pictures to the frame shop to be matted.

It was a tough decision this year. I could only pick two and to tell the truth, I took way too many pictures this year.

The runners up were:

This picture of Joseph is one of my favorites. I'm planning on framing it for the grandparents. It was a third place runner up, knocked out by the opinion of a random stranger.

I love the lighting on this one. And how awesome is the look on Lane's face? He's staring so intently at Joseph.

I thought this one of Lane was pretty awesome. So cute and so sweet. The only thing standing in the way of this shot was the opinion that the composition of the "winning" shot was more interesting.

And the final entries are....*drum roll please*....

I love how colors in this one just pop. The sun shining through Shannon's hair, the green in the background.

And again, the composition of this one is pretty darn good. (Don't I sound like I actually know what I'm talking about?) So we'll see if I place this year. Fingers crossed and all that.

Oh and Heather and Danielle, be prepared to deal with an 8 x 10, matted picture of your kids in about three months.
