Water Conservation

Today is the first day of City-mandated water conservation. In other words, today is the last day of green grass. We're allowed to water our yards on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. While I understand the reasoning behind it, gardening has just gotten a bit more challenging. Our drip lines are hooked up to our sprinklers, so we can't set separate timers. I'm going to have to remember to water, water, water the baby veggie plants that are depending on me rather than Mother Nature for their daily drink.

I hope this doesn't lower my success rate from 50% to 25%.

Perhaps you were not aware that you could easily reduce your water consumption of up to 20% by simply replacing your sprinkler heads with more efficient ones. Many homeowners have an outdated system and are unaware that their current sprinkler heads use more water. My husband is a state certified water manager expert, so I hear about how people can save all the time.
