Joseph's still running a temperature. We couldn't get it below 102 all night. Right now, it's at 103.7 again. Ugh. I feel like a zombie. He's so uncomfortable and can only sleep a few minutes at a time between the fever and coughing fits. Chad and I were doing fine until around 1:30, when he finally said we needed to tag team this thing. I went to the spare room to sleep and he took care of Joseph until a little before 5:00 when he came stumbling in and it was my turn.
Needless to say, we both called in sick this morning. Chad's going to work around 3:00 and working until late, but we're hoping that we'll all be able to take a nap. If nothing else, we'll have a repeat of yesterday - I'll take a nap while Chad holds down the fort, then we'll switch.
Side note: Reminds me of the first few weeks after bringing home a baby.
We're taking Joseph back to the doctor at 9:45. I don't think there's much they're going to be able to do, but they called this morning to see how he was doing. They want to listen to his lungs to be sure it doesn't turn into pneumonia.
In the meantime, Chad went back to Jamba Juice for a "strawberry milkshake", Joseph's cuddled on the couch with his tissues, trash bag and ice water watching cartoons and I'm trying to stay awake for the next hour so I'm not totally groggy when we go to the doctor's office.
I still have a lot to post about this weekend, but I'm so tired, I can barely sting a few words together. I'll get to it later when I'm more rested.
