A visit from Benny

Benny came over Thursday night to have a sleepover with Joseph. (And to give me yet another sneak peek at what it's going to be like to have two kids.) Right after we got home, I let the boys go outside to play while I made a snack. I was literally in the kitchen as long as it takes to make peanut butter crackers and pour milk.

Side note: I had the door open and could hear them the whole time, Rachel.

This is what I came out to:

Figuring they needed to blow off a lot of energy (and realizing their current game was contributing to California's water shortage), I decided to take them to BSP to blow off a little steam and visit Chad at work. The boys played on the playground, ran around the fields and looked for fish in the lake.

By the time we got home, I was out of energy, but they were still ready to go. They ran around the house like crazy kids while I got a pizza going. I attempted to settle them down with a movie. By the time the boys were bathed and stories were read, I was ready to collapse. Joseph and Benny seemed to have had a great time.
