Before I post about this weekend, I suppose I should catch up.
Last Saturday, Chad's parents offered to take Joseph overnight, which meant...date night!!! We took advantage of a coupon for a free roll and went out for sushi. (In my case, it was faux sushi.) After dinner we walked across the park to see if a movie happened to be playing. That's right! Dinner and a movie. I think the last movie Chad and I saw together was almost two years ago. Milk was starting in ten minutes so we purchased tickets and popcorn and went in.
We'd been trying to see this movie for a couple months. I'm so glad we were finally able to do it. I thought it was a great film. Very thought-provoking. Chad thought it was a bit slow. I have to admit that it felt more like a docu-drama than a movie. Lot's of actual footage of news reports, ads, etc.
We were able to sleep in the next morning. Bliss! Then participated in that most romantic of all weekend activities - grocery shopping. Honestly, it was nice to be able to just grab our keys and go. We ended the evening at Chad's parents for dinner and Wii.
All in all...a very nice weekend. Which just made the madness of Joseph's sickness all the more intense.
