Chad's parents called us yesterday morning at 8:15 to let us know that they had snow falling at their house. Chad woke me up as soon as he got off the phone and then, without taking a shower or even eating breakfast, we got in the car and headed to A-town. In this area, snow is so rare, you have to strike while the iron is hot...err...cold.
Side note: The lack of shower is the reason why you won't be seeing any pictures of me. The fact that Chad was still in his pj pants is the reason you won't be seeing any of him. Joseph, however was as adorable as always.
Driving down the freeway, we could see the rain hitting the windshield in was more slush than rain. About a half mile from Chad's parents' the slushy rain turned into big, white snowflakes.
Side note: We were so happy that it happened to be a holiday for me and Chad didn't have to go into work until early afternoon.
We pulled up to Ken and Sue's in a flurry of white. Joseph immediately tried to catch snowflakes on his tongue, laughing and making silly faces when they hit his nose, cheeks and eyes. We played for about an hour and then the snow turned to rain which quickly melted the frosted ground cover and we were back to normal winter conditions.
It was fun while it lasted! On the way home, Joseph said, happily from the backseat, "I love the snow!" We agreed.
