The Little Monkey

We went to have an ultrasound on Thursday. Chad was excited since this was the first time he was able to see the little monkey. My due date has been changed. Again.

Side note: For those keeping track, so far we have: Aug. 1, July 27, Aug. 9 and now Aug. 3. Anybody ready to take bets?

Other than that, everything is moving along nicely. The little one is like a jumping bean. The tech had a hard time getting a clear picture. Chad looked at me, "I don't remember Joseph moving around that much."

"Me neither. I think we're going to be in trouble."

Side note: You know how your parents "curse" you by saying, "I hope you have kids just like you"? Every time my mom said that, I'd think to myself, "So do I!" I just wasn't a bad kid. Sure, I talked back, but honestly, on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being an abnormally good kid and 10 being a druggie truant who joins a gang...I was a 3 or 4. And Chad was as close to a Stepford Child as you could get. According to his parents he was a well-behaved, serious little boy. It makes sense that we would have a mellow, mild child with a bit of temper (from me) to make things interesting.

The picture is a bit blurry because of the aforementioned movement, but in real time, it was amazing. Arms, legs, feet, hands, tummy, head...we could see so much already. It's a little thing considering the size of it's current home. (Belly pictures forthcoming.) I can't wait until we get our 20 week ultrasound. We'll be able to see even more and by that point, I should be able to feel movement. Fun times ahead!!
