I'm trying to get Joseph to eat more veggies. One of the articles I read said that if we make good-for-you foods "forbidden", kids will actually clamor to have some. I decided to give it a try...
"Mmmm...this butternut squash is yummy!" Joseph looks up from his plate and gives me a look. "You can't have any though. It's mommy's."
"Okay." He turns back to his squash-less lunch. I sit and stare at him, stumped.
Backtracking, I say, "Well, I guess if you really want some, I can share a little bite."
"No. It's Mommy's."
Time for a new plan.
