Please note that I am now the proud owner of a zester thanks to Danielle and Adam. (Well...I have a sneaking suspicion that it more Danielle's doing than Adam's.)

Cleaning up...
Now that jam season is waning, I've turned my crafty eyes towards new projects. Saturday night and Sunday morning were spent making soap.
I love the smell of my oatmeal cookie concoction, so leaped at a chance to make some for mom to take to work. I used an olive oil soap base which gave me a beautiful canvas for the floating oatmeal and spices.
I created a new kitchen soap while picking herbs in my yard. I used rosemary (a natural antibacterial), mint and lemon zest to produce a beautiful, fresh-smelling soap. I'm thinking about starting an Etsy shop to sell these as well as my jams. I'll have to look into it...
