If one more person sends me political email trash without doing their research, I may implode. Let me reiterate just one more time:
Do not believe the political ads from either party. I mean, let's think about this...they're ads. Do you honestly believe that McDonald's has a healthy new menu or that Subway has 60% less meat than Quizno's? Put the political ads in a similar context.
Do not...and this one's important...rely on partisan media for your news. How do you know that your news is partisan? Let's see...if the broadcaster/commentator is a former presidential candidate for a particular party...your news might be partisan. If the broadcaster foams at the mouth while talking about a particular candidate and then gets dove-eyed when talking about the opponent....your news might be partisan.
Do. Your. Research. Period. End of statement. You are all very intelligent people...you read my blog after all...so do your research. Look carefully at the voting records of all the candidates and then choose the person who best represents you.
And last, but certainly not least, do not believe email forwards. If you do, then I put you in the same intellectual category that I put the people who forward me such brilliant pearls as "OMG! DEODORANT CAUSES BREAST CANCER" or "Forward this to ten people in twenty seconds or the world will stop turning and you will be responsible for the end of life as we know it". Trust me...you do not want to be in that category.
Phew! Okay. Now I'm going back to writing my very long, very detailed account of a very wonderful, very relaxing, very politics-free birthday weekend.
