The weather's getting a bit cooler. Morning temperatures no longer shoot to 90 before noon, plants are starting to require less water and it's okay to finally open the heavy front room drapes and let the sunshine in.
Chad went to a two day conference yesterday so Joseph and I have been tooling around on our own. He woke up at 4:45 and climbed in to bed with me, sleeping until nearly 8:00. We called Daddy after waking up and then, cuddled in bed, my little bug asked so sweetly for banana pancakes and strawberries that I nearly melted.
Side note: When we're home, banana pancakes are our Sunday morning standard. A little Jack Johnson, a little dancing, a little family time.
We padded into the kitchen, started a pot of tea and sliced bananas and strawberries. (The Fuciles got me an awesome new tea pot...another perfect cool weather item.) Listening to music, we "pretended it's the weekend" and made breakfast.
We need to run a couple errands, followed by lunch, nap and, I promise, the camping post. In the meantime, while Joseph is playing "cook", I'm going to pour myself one last cuppa and read the news. The tea should have a calming effect.
