Scary (True) Story

Once upon a time, in a home not too different from yours, there lived a woman. This woman was a blogger. Every evening, she sat in front of her computer typing witty tweets, fascinating blog posts, tagging facebook pages, and Skyping with fellow bloggers.

Then, one day, she had to move. Packing her computer, she lovingly tucked bubble wrap around the edges, promising it would be the first thing unpacked at the new house.

That night, exhausted from hauling boxes, she poured herself a glass of wine and started to unpack her computer. She plugged it in, and then, in horror realized...

She had no internet access!

Frantic, she called customer service and was told the earliest she'd have access was mid week.

Mid week!

Mid week!

Using her iPhone's 3G, she hastily checked her tweets and facebook notifications, bemoaning the small keys of her touchpad. Finally, in defeat, she exited the apps, and resigned herself to four days of no internet access.

Let this be a warning to all intrepid bloggers...

Forget electricity, gas, water, trash...

Make internet access your first phone call.

Happy Halloween. May all your children's candy be chocolate and your ability to steal it be sure.

Oh how scary indeed!  Tragic, frightening, ghastly, worrisome, nightmarish all come to mind as well! ;>  Sending connectivity vibes that your net turns on by mid week.  Happy Halloween! :>

Oh Mandy! We didn't have service for 2 weeks, I work at the cable company, but I moved during fall rush, when the students move into Boston!
I've used Wordpress on my Android, it isn't like using a computer, but, it does the trick.
I hope you love your new home as much as we do ours!
Good luck and have fun!
