A few weeks ago, I was asked by Alex from Late Enough to participate in a new collaborative review blog. She described it as a review site with one main goal:
Tell the truth.
As soon as I received her email, I knew exactly what she was talking about. So many times I've been to review sites that read more like infomercials than reviews. Complete with exclamation points.
While I'm the first to rave about a product that I love - hello Magic Bullet - I also know that not every product lives up to its name. (Right, Ab Roller?) When the review is positive, I want to know it's because the product actually works the way it should, not because the blogger got it for free. In my opinion that defeats the purpose of a blogger review - at least where the reader is concerned.
So...once a week, you'll find me over at Makes Fun of Stuff, finding the humor in bad products and giving you the honest low down on good ones. My fellow reviewers are amazing writers who adroitly mix laughs with honesty. I invite you to come on over and check us out.
Today, I'm reviewing Moon Sand. That's right. I'm taking on the moon. Or at least the sand. Go check it out and while you're there, read some of the amazing reviews that are already revolutionizing the review process. At least in our neck of the woods.
