You may have noticed a few changes here in Mandyland so, to avoid confusion and frustration, I thought I'd do a little housekeeping.
Of the virtual variety. Which is another way of saying I'm avoiding real housecleaning.
The amazing Lindsay of Lindsay Blogs helped me (actually she did it all) download Disqus so I can now respond to each comment in my lovely comment box. I'm hoping this will allow me to get to know you all better. (insert maniacal laugh) Added bonus...now you'll get my responses in your inbox and be highly impressed with my witty responses.
A couple of tips for using Disqus...
Sometimes it takes a minute to download. Be patient. It will pop up.
Also, you have to click on the post title and then scroll down rather than click on the "comment" link.
If you still can't comment it could be because your network has defined Disqus as a social networking site and blocked you. This will usually only happen if you're trying to comment from...work. Eh-hm. So...wait until you get home and try again.
In addition to that...I'm also now a dot com.
Not in the sense of being a multimillion dollar company with a thin business plan but in the sense that you can now find me at:
http://www.inmandyland.com/
Cool, yes?
Blogger promises that they'll continue to forward people here, but just in case...you may want to change your favorites. What?! I'm not in your favorites?! We need to talk.
Also, a reminder or two.
I'm on Twitter @in_mandyland. It's safe to say that I'm starting to become slightly addicted. It's like being backstage at a play. I get to see how all of my favorite bloggers come to write the posts I love. And then, in return, I pretend that I'm an uber cool blogger too and throw out a tweet or four showing off my extreme dorkiness. It's a hoot, I tell you! If you'd like to hang out in the Tweetiverse, let me know. We can be rockin' robins together.
Was that a collective groan I just heard?
And...not to be left in the dark, I also have an In Mandyland fan page on Facebook. You can like me there, if you really, really want to. If not...no big deal. I won't go hide in a corner or anything.
And last, but not least, I'll be unveiling a new layout soon. I'm super excited to be working with an actual designer who somehow got in my head and came out with a beautiful new look. I sent her a long, rambling email about "who" I am and she responded with six bullet points and a draft design that made my mouth drop open. I love it so far and can't wait to share it with you.
So...that's about it! Any questions?
