Ian had this on his Facebook page with the caption "Here Mandy". Now they're just rubbing it in. If they weren't so darn cute and smiley, I'd have to hate them. I've insisted that I receive a care package consisting of chocolate covered macadamia nuts, a pineapple and a lei.
In other travel news...
Joseph took his longest road trip without Chad or I this weekend. He traveled to Davis with Boppa and Gee for his cousins' joint birthday bash.
I have to admit I was a Nervous Nellie at the idea of my baby being so far from me, but he seems to be having a great time. So great, in fact, that his good night phone conversation consisted of a request for the Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion and a quick "Iloveyou" before he raced off to play with Salvie.
I'm glad he's having a fun. I'm even more glad that he'll be home tomorrow. I miss my little man.
The house has been peaceful and quiet that I actually got...uneasy! I'm so accustomed to Hurricane Two Kids, I didn't quite know what to do with just one wee lass to look after. I kept feeling like I was forgetting something.
Side note: Speaking of hurricanes...I'm starting to feel a little left out. Every one of my sisters and friends have had a hurricane named after them. When are they going to pull out Hurricane Mandy? Amanda doesn't count. My name is not Amanda.
Also on the road, Chris, Mark and Kyle are up in Montana getting Kyle settled into the dorms. That's right...the little boy who rode in his carseat in the back of my VW Bug listening to "Love Shack" is now a freshman in college. He's going to do fantastic.
And I'm starting to feel old.

You should ask for some coconut syrup in your care package. It's wonderful on pancakes and waffles.
