I finally finished listening to For All the Tea in China. I just can't emphasize enough what a fantastic book this was.
If you like gardening, read it. You'll be swept away by Robert Fortune's passion for botany.
If you like trivia, read it. For instance, the pork and beef grease on paper rifle cartridges were the direct cause of India's first war of Independence.
If you like history, read it. Fortune's seemingly obscure part in world history had long-lasting effects that are still being played out on the world stage.
If you like adventure, read it. Sweeping across the globe, from the soaring Himalayas to a quiet English garden, Fortune's travels enthrall and thrill.
If you like tea, read it. I can't take a sip of my favorite brew without recalling where it came from.
Now...I need to go and write my Congressman to ask for legislation providing for mandatory tea time.

Since I love gardening and trivia and adventure and history and tea...it sounds like a must-read! :) I'm all in for the legislated tea time too!
You will love it. I honestly can't say enough good things about it, so I'm going to stop. As Chad says, I need to stop setting it up otherwise it will never live up to expectations.
