Laners is Two

Wow...I'm really late on this one.

Superbowl Sunday saw the kids and I making a marathon round trip to visit the Fresno Crew.  Laners second birthday trumped the Superbowl in my book.

Then again, cleaning out the garage trumps the Superbowl to me.

We arrived in Fresno after an easy drive - complete with two sleeping children.  The party was about to begin and, after hugs all around, I handed Elizabeth to the first of many willing arms.

Danielle outdid herself.  There were slinkies and enchilladas.  There were crayons and bubbles.  A beautiful banner swept across the fireplace and a tower topped with cupcakes presided over it all.  Sadly I didn't get many pictures because I either a) lost some or b) was using Danielle's camera.

Truly a bummer.

After the party, we drove home in time for the second quarter of the Superbowl. Again, both kids slept for the whole drive while Mommy listened to Kate Nash and Regina Spektor.

Now that I think of it...even with driving for four hours, it was quite the relaxing day.
