I'm making two quiches for a work brunch tomorrow. Somehow, I screwed up the pie crust for the first batch and had to start over.
And no. I don't make my pie crust from scratch. That's right. I, in my infinite baking wisdom, messed up store-bought, pre-cut round pie crusts.
Chad's of the "waste not" philosophy and asked that I do something with my quarter cooked, broken crust.
I tore up the crust and lined a baking dish. Then I mixed sliced apples, cranberries and blueberries with a half cup of sugar and topped with more crust pieces.
It's currently waiting it's turn to go in the oven.
We're calling it broken pie.
