Yikes! It's been a whole week since my last entry. Well...almost a whole week. I could hear a great gnashing of teeth across the blogosphere as my dear, dear readers refreshed my page in vain.
Or was that just the traffic outside?
Anyway...there's just not a whole lot to post about.
I did go back to work on Wednesday. We're going to go ahead and call this Phase 1 of The Return to Work. I'll be popping in once a week for the next two months and then, in January, return to my version of full-time (part-time to the rest of the world).
It was a bit rough at first. Very emotional leaving Elizabeth. Of course I left her with her Aunt Rachel who, I was assured, would take very good care of her. I left her snug as a bug in Rachel's bed with the Neumann family. Benny was enthralled. Rachel was loving on her. Jeff was still asleep.
Fortunately, it was an Elizabeth-free Lite day. Rachel had a photo session across from where I work so I was able to hop over to nurse and then got a double snuggle bonus when Rachel brought her over to work before she went home.
As sad as I was to leave my babes, I'm very, very thankful for the wonderful people I work with. (And I'm not just saying that because some of them read this blog.) I have the most amazing and supportive group of people surrounding me. Hugs, laughter and sympathetic chats eased my way back into the working world.
Other than that, I had an appointment with the Hottest Optometrist in Town. My crush was crushed, however, when, during our chit chat before my exam, he revealed a less-than-attractive ego. So sad.
Here's to having more to post next week...
I still need to figure out how to go back to the old version of blogger posting so I can get spell check back. I hate knowing I have misspelled words lurking in my posts.
