I figured that as long as I get Rachel's Wedding posts completed before they return from the Honeymoon, I'm still somewhat timely...
Friday night, after setting up tables at the gorgeous Dallidet Adobe and running through the wedding ceremony a couple of times, we all converged on Meadow Park for a pizza picnic dinner. After the blistering heat of Paso, it was so nice to sit in a park with somewhat green grass, a cool breeze blowing and a setting sun shining gently upon us.
Everyone was in a mellow mood. The girls and Mom had been working on flower arrangements all day. I'd been sleeping and keeping my feet up. The guys had all put in a long day at work. To say that we were all beat is an understatment. And yes...keeping my feet up all day still left me too tired to do much more than plop down on a picnic blanket and eat. Remember...I'm growing a person in The Belly.
The kids, full of more energy than a power plant, ran across the sloping park, chasing each other and a soccer ball. At one point, Michael and Becky were recruited for a wild ride around the blankets. The boys loved it.
It was a relaxing way to spend the final hours before The Wedding.
