Picnic

Joseph and I had an amazing morning. We took a little trip to Avila Barn to feed the animals and buy berries. (And escape the heat that's hit Paso!)

It was cool and foggy and wonderful. We talked to the goats, the calves, the chickens and the ponies. Joseph asked the peacock, "Why are you being so loud, guy?" He climbed on bales of hay and found a new toy. After feeding some of the animals, we went into the store and bought all the makings for a yummy picnic lunch: fresh bread, smoked Gouda, berries, cherries, raisins and chocolate milk.

We sat and chatted about the animals, the food and just enjoyed each other's company. It was a wonderful Mommy and Joe picnic and I can't wait to do it again.

Next time, though, Joseph said we needed to buy pie. I concur.
