We went out to the wildflowers two weekends ago. (Yes...I'm that far behind in my blogging.) We met Rachel, Benny and Jeff as well as Chad's parents for a picnic dinner out amongst the springtime color.
I love going out to Shell Creek Road. It's a gorgeous drive and, best of all, even during "crowded" times, it's pretty deserted. How deserted? Well, here's a picture Chad took of the road we drove to get out there. Miles and miles of open grazing land that some kind rancher allows us city folk to tramp across, cameras and picnic baskets in hand.
I took a lot of pictures, but only have time and space to post a few. After all, we just got back from Monterey and there's a blow-by-blow, detailed account just itching to get blogged. (Plus 366 pictures that need to be edited. Maybe I'll get one or two good shots. The laws of probability are probably with me.) In the meantime, enjoy the J-man and Benny Boo frolicking. (There's a special appearance by Maggie Dog, as well.)
