Leading up to the weekend...

On Thursday Joseph and I went to Farmers' with Becky. I brought my camera, looking forward to taking pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't bring a stroller. Joseph got crowd-shy and wanted to be held almost the whole time which means I didn't get a single picture. Next time!

We walked around and had a slice of pizza at Guisseppe's. Super yummy. Afterwards we bought fresh, organic peaches, berries and veggies. I used to go every week without fail and purchase my produce. Since moving from SLO, I haven't been able to get on track to attend the local Paso market. (Partly because it's held early Saturday mornings. Partly because it has a much smaller selection.)

Friday was a busy day. Joseph and I ran errands (there's nothing like going to Pier 1 with an excited toddler), prepared my contribution to Mary's shower and decorated some onesies. After his nap, I packed his bag and dropped him off for a sleep over at his grandparents'. I made it to SLO only about a half hour late for Mary's shower. Rachel and Janelle had set up a beautiful picnic spot just outside the Mission. We were close enough to hear the band, but far enough away to still be able to talk. We played games, laughed, talked and then talked some more.

Our group got a lot of strange looks. We couldn't figure out why. One man approached and asked if we were a pregnancy group. Since only one of us was obviously pregnant, I couldn't figure out where he came up with that. I explained that we were having a baby shower. (As he walked away, I looked down...nope...not looking particularly pregnant.)

After the concert was over, we went to Uptown Brew for coffee, tea and chai. We chatted until it was time for Becky, Rachel and I go to "Mama Mia" (which I'm still rhapsodizing over). What a great way to start the weekend.
